Privacy notice

What Podium knows about you, why, who else handles it, what other managers can see, and what you can ask us to do.

Last updated 18 September 2026 · Terms of use

1.Who is responsible

[Company legal name], registered at [registered address], is responsible for your personal data on Podium. Questions about your data go to [privacy email].

2.What we collect

  • Your account: your Telegram account number, your name, your Telegram username and your profile picture, as Telegram provides them to us.
  • Your FPL team: its ID and name, and what FPL publishes about it: your picks, points, transfers and chips for the gameweeks you play.
  • Your wallet: the telebirr number you save, your deposit and withdrawal requests, their references and amounts, and every entry in your wallet's history.
  • telebirr confirmations: when you pay us or we pay you, telebirr sends our phone a message with the sender's name, a partly hidden phone number, the amount, the reference and the time. We keep these to match payments.
  • Your play: the competitions you create and enter, your fees, points, positions and prizes.
  • Your phone number: the number held by Telegram, which we receive only when you tap to share it, and which we ask for before any money moves. We compare it with the telebirr number on your account.
  • Security: when and from which device you open Podium. We also set a random cookie on each device, and store only a one-way code made from it, to warn you when a new device opens your account.
  • Errors: when something fails, a technical description with personal details removed.

We do not ask for your FPL password, your telebirr PIN or your ID documents. [If proof of age is ever needed, say here what is asked for and how it is kept.]

3.Why we use it

  • To run your account, score your competitions and pay your prizes.
  • To match deposits to the payments we receive and to send withdrawals.
  • To keep accounts and money safe: to spot fraud, stop more than one account per person, and warn you about new sign-ins.
  • To send you the messages you asked for, and ones about your money and competitions.
  • To answer you when you contact us, and to meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4.What other managers see

  • In a competition you enter, other entrants see the name you chose on your profile, or, if you have not chosen one, your first name and the initial of your last name. They also see your FPL team's name, your points, position and prize. They never see your email address, photo or telebirr number.
  • After a gameweek's deadline, other entrants can compare your picks for that gameweek with theirs. FPL itself shows these publicly after the deadline.
  • A friends competition can only be seen by people who have its code.

Nobody else sees your email address, your telebirr number or your wallet balance.

5.Who else handles it

  • Supabase stores our database and runs sign-in, [in which region].
  • Telegram signs you in, provides the account details above, shares your phone number when you tap to share it, and delivers the messages our bot sends you.
  • Ethio telecom's telebirr carries your deposits and withdrawals.
  • [Hosting provider] runs the website.

Fantasy Premier League: we only read what FPL publishes. We send FPL nothing about you.

Our staff can see your account when they check a deposit, a withdrawal or a result, and everything they do to your account is logged.

6.Cookies and storage

  • Sign-in cookies keep you signed in. The service does not work without them.
  • A device cookie lets us warn you when your account is opened on a device it has not been opened on before.
  • Your browser stores your language choice.

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking. [Confirm, and list any analytics added before launch.]

7.How long we keep it

[Retention periods, as settled with a lawyer: for example, account data while the account is open and for a set period after; wallet and payment records for as long as financial record-keeping law requires; security records for a shorter period.]

8.Your choices and rights

  • See your competitions, wallet history, notifications and signed-in devices in the app at any time, and sign out any device.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it.
  • Ask us to delete your account. We delete what we can and keep what the law requires, such as payment records.
  • Block the Podium bot in Telegram to stop its messages. They will still be waiting in the app.

Write to [privacy email]. We reply within [time frame]. [Right to complain to the data protection authority, as settled with a lawyer.]

9.Keeping it safe

Everything is sent over encrypted connections. Your data is only reachable through checks that let you see your own records and nobody else's, and staff access is limited and logged.

10.Age

Podium is only for people aged 21 and over. If we learn that someone younger has an account, we close it and return any balance.

11.Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we update this notice and tell you in the app first.
